Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to all of our products and services, including the Mystik Media website (mystikmedia.com), our classic desktop software (such as Blaze Media Pro, AutoImager, AudioEdit Deluxe, Blaze MediaConvert, ContextConvert Pro, GraFX Saver Pro, and others), and the Algadon game and its websites (collectively, the “Services”).
Some of our Services rely on third-party platforms — most notably, Facebook for Algadon. Those platforms have their own privacy policies, and your use of them is governed by their terms in addition to ours.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact and support requests. When you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, the topic and product you select, your message, and — for licensing or billing inquiries — the Product ID you supply.
- Purchases and licensing. When you purchase a license, our payment processors collect the information needed to complete the transaction. We receive a record of the purchase and the license details, but we do not store your full payment card information on our systems.
- Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide.
Information collected automatically
- Website analytics. When you visit our websites, we may collect basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages viewed. This is used in aggregate to understand site usage.
- Software activation and updates. Our desktop software may transmit license activation requests, version information, and basic system details (operating system version, for example) to verify licenses and check for updates.
- Game data. When you play Algadon, we record gameplay information needed to operate the game — character data, inventory, clan membership, event participation, chat messages, and similar in-world activity.
Information from third parties
When you access Algadon through Facebook, Facebook may share with us a limited set of information you have authorized — typically your public profile (name, profile picture, and Facebook user ID). What we receive depends on the permissions you grant, which you can review and revoke through your Facebook account settings.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our software and games.
- Process purchases, validate licenses, and deliver the products and services you have requested.
- Respond to your support requests and communicate with you about your account or purchases.
- Send transactional messages, important service updates, and — if you opted in — newsletters and product news. You can unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, cheating, abuse, and security incidents — including in Algadon.
- Improve our products, including diagnosing technical problems and understanding how features are used.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
Algadon and Facebook data
Algadon is operated as a Facebook canvas application. To play, you authenticate through Facebook, and Facebook acts as the identity provider for your in-game account. The information Facebook shares with us is limited by the permissions you grant through Facebook’s authorization screen. You can review or revoke those permissions, and remove the Algadon application, at any time from the “Apps and Websites” section of your Facebook settings.
In-world data — your hero, inventory, clan membership, achievements, chat history, and similar gameplay information — is stored on our servers so the game can function. Public elements of your character (such as your in-game name, level, and clan) may be visible to other Algadon players.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. License records are typically retained for the lifetime of the license and a reasonable period afterward for accounting and support reasons. Game accounts that have been inactive for an extended period may be archived or deleted.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Request that we correct inaccurate information.
- Request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (for example, records we are required to keep for legal or accounting reasons).
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, please email us at support@mystikmedia.com or use the contact form on our Support page. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Children's privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
International users
Mystik Media operates from the United States. If you access our Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using our Services, you consent to that transfer.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or by email. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
