The Options menu contains global settings for working with files and converting. The options include the following:

Include Subfolders with Added Folder - Includes all files contained within subfolders of the selected root folder when you click the "Add Folder" command.  For example, if you click this setting when you have a folder "c:\Media" that contains folders named "Audio Samples (Old)" and "Audio Samples (New)", all files contained within "c:\Media", "c:\Media\Audio Samples (Old)", and "c:\Media\Audio Samples (New)" are added to the file list.
Use Source File's Path for Output - Saves converted files to the same folder as the source files.  The Output Folder setting is ignored when this option is used.  For example, if you select this setting and convert a WAV file (c:\media\test.wav) to MP3, the output file is saved as c:\media\test.mp3, regardless of the Output Folder setting.
Show Output Folder Selection Before Conversion - Displays a folder selection dialog before conversion begins.  This is useful if you usually convert to different output folders. This setting also eliminates the possibility of your forgetting to set the Output Folder option before converting, which would result in saving the files to an incorrect folder.
Prompt to Save Modified File List - Ensures that AudioCommander prompts you to save any changes to the file list before closing or opening a new file list.  If you usually work with the same files and use file lists, this option prevents your losing changes.  However, if you usually work with different files, and do not use file lists, turning off this option prevents an unnecessary message box from displaying as the program closes.
Overwrite Existing Files - Causes new files to replace any existing files with the same filename and path.  If the option is disabled, and the conversion output has the same path and filename as an existing file, the conversion output filename is appended by a hyphen, followed by a numeric value, such as "test-0001.wav" for an existing test.wav file.
Delete Source Files After Conversion - Not recommended for most situations since conversion output might not be as expected in rare cases.  However, setting this option deletes the original source files after conversion.
Enable FreeDB Support for CD Conversion - Connects to the FreeDB server, when converting from audio CDs, to obtain disc and track information for naming the converted file.  You must have an active Internet connection to use this option.  If the setting is disabled, no disc information is found on the FreeDB server, or if no active Internet connection is available, CD conversion output is saved in the format of "Track01.mp3", for example, if converting to MP3.  Otherwise, conversion output is in the format of Artist - Track Title.mp3.
